The history of dynamic and progressive thinking

FREJA’s history has been characterised by far-reaching decisions and progressive thinking. It is a story of a dynamic, internationally oriented company with an unwavering appreciation of customer needs. 

Things began to move in 1990. The company in Skive acquired a subsidiary in Copenhagen. Further strategic acquisitions within the sector in 1996 gave FREJA access to new markets. In 1997 FREJA A/S became FREJA Transport & Logistics A/S. The name change signalled a future-oriented profile with focus on total logistics solutions. Today, the company is a credible and professional player in the local and international markets. 

From a Danish to a Global transport & logistics company
The first Nordic takeover was Maa ja Meri Oy in Finland in 2003. Since then, FREJA has established itself in Sweden and Norway through acquisitions and own-establishment. Today, the FREJA group is a real global player with branches in Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Poland and China.

Since 1985 FREJA has experienced an average annual growth rate of approx. 20 percent. The successful and controlled growth rate was awarded with the Danish business newspaper Børsen’s Gazelle Award in 1999, being the first Gazelle Award out of the three, which FREJA has received so far.  

A professional logistics partner in the global market
Comprehensive global transport alliances, storage facilities, our own bonded warehouses, order booking, packing and packaging jobs and end-recipient deliveries mean that FREJA is an attractive alliance partner for all areas of the business. Major IT investments have helped promote the flexibility and the overview expected by transport customers of the future.
